Arcee,
the roaming robot

TU/e · DBB200 Creative Electronics
April 2022
OVERVIEW

A small robot whose only purpose is to wander.

Arcee was a three-week study in building something that just moves. An Arduino-driven chassis with ultrasonic sensors, a custom 3D-printed shell, and a tiny piezo that chirps when the path ahead is clear. No app, no screen, no remote — just a wandering object that responds to the room.

The point was the loop: write code, print a part, watch it bump into a chair, iterate.

The first time my code moved something physical, I stopped treating electronics as theory.
